Jan Rohwedder /
Rotterdam Presenta

Jan Rohwedder is cofounder of the artist platform Rotterdam Presenta. He develops performances, installations and choreographic scores, fostering new understandings about the current interrelations of the social, political within a constantly transforming environment. Jan studied Applied Theatre Studies in Gießen and at P.A.R.T.S. Brussels. His work is produced by FFT Düsseldorf and presented in various contexts of the European performance art scene.

His choreographic work tackles a new social and cultural awareness for changing agencies and new perspectives of who is leading the fast changing processes around us. As performer he has been involved in pieces by David Weber-Krebs Guardians of Sleep, 2021 and Hofmann & Lindholm Hiding Piece, 2016. In 2020 he showed his Walk and Talk solo-performance Wind and Self at Transmissions Festival Braunschweig.
