Red is much more than just a colour: RED stands for blood, love, passion, strength, power, but also for danger, anger, destruction and rage. In its new production extRemED, the DIN A 13 tanzcompany explores the ambiguity and contrasting meanings, the extremely emotional components and the powerful effect of the colour red.

Gerda König, artistic director of the company, is working with choreographer Paolo Fossa to develop a mixed-abled production involving four dancers with normative and non-normative bodies. As is usual in DIN A 13 tanzcompany productions, the dancers' different physiques and movement repertoires will be choreographically utilised for the context of the content.
